Geography Bee Syllabus

The questions will be related but not confined to the following categories.

Junior Geography Bee:

  • Identify the locations and characteristics of the different regions of the United States
  • Basic facts about the different states of United States
  • The seven continents (countries, people, languages, folklore, legends, customs, similarities & differences of culture)
  • Oceans & landforms
  • Holidays and cultural traditions celebrated around the world
  • Contributions made by famous Americans from all backgrounds (inventors, leaders, etc.)
  • India : Basic facts, states, capitals, languages, landmarks
  • Know your own state:
    • Basic facts (flower, capital, etc.)
    • Natural geography
    • History
    • Statehood
    • Transcontinental railroad (if any)
    • Great Depression (if any)
    • State government
    • Major cities
    • Significant individuals

Senior Geography Bee:

  • General US Geography:

  • US Physical Geography:

  • Cultural Geography

  • Historical Geography

  • Physical Geography

  • World Geography

  • Current Events

  • Indian Geography
