Specific Rules for National Brain Bee Finals
What is Brain Bee
- This regional contest is open to children from all over the US.
- First-Come-First-Served - total participation is limited to 30 contestants ONLY.
- The questions for both Phase I and II are taken from the book "Brain Facts".
- The regional contest, presided by a neuroscientist, will be conducted in two phases, Phase I and II.
- In Phase I, each contestant is asked one question in each round and will be allowed 15 seconds to answer. Each contestant is allowed three wrong answers before being retired.
- When only 5 finalists are left, the Phase II part of the contest begins.
- In Phase II, all the 5 contestants start with zero points. Once again, each finalist is allowed three wrong answers before being retired.
