Driving Directions to Northwestern University
Please do not rely on the public transportation, shuttle buses or even taxis to get to the venue. We recommend that you use car to get to the venue. There is plenty of parking. Even if your hotel has a shuttle, don't rely on it since you will miss the contest if you miss the first shuttle. The reason is that you will have to wait as much as 45 minutes for the next shuttle!!
We highly recommend that you take a drive to the venue the day before to make sure you will not miss the contest on the scheduled day.
Note: It is easy to get lost in Evanston, IL. You will not find gas stations or convenience stores near the campus. You cannot stop on Sheridan Road to ask for directions. There is also construction on the south side of the venue. Keep these directions with you. Don't rely on Yahoo or other sources for directions.
Allow ample time to reach the venue. It can take as much as 10 minutes from the parking lot to the registration area. If you are staying with friends in the western suburbs like Naperville, allow 1.5 hours to reach the venue. You may see some barriers on the Sheridan Road as there is construction on the south side of the venue. You are advised to slow down as you are very close to the venue.

There are no reverse directions. Please note that Emerson St. is one way so you need to use Foster St. if you use Emerson on the forward journey. Most of the parking lots (shown by P1, P2, P3, P4 and P5 in the Campus map) within NW campus are marked 'Permit only' parking. As per NW University Parking Rules, visitors can park in these areas on the weekends and after 4PM on weekdays. Do not park where it is marked 24 Hour Enforcement or where it is reserved for NW University employees/faculty/handicapped. Your car can be towed if you park in these restricted areas.
