About Us - Opinions A True Volunteer
The venue was the University of Maryland, Washington DC. We were in the dinner hall of North South Foundation National Finals Awards ceremony. As people were busy getting food and chatting with their friends and family, "the volunteer" caught our attention. He quickly completed his dinner and started serving water to each and every person in the dining hall. He was immersed in his mission and happily emptied tumbler after tumbler until every one completed their meal and then he left quietly. Indeed a true volunteer! No one asked him, yet he created the opportunity and did whatever he could. The Foundation expresses its deep gratitude for his dedication, initiative, and self-less service.
