Feedback from Parents - 2010 Contests

As Contests are being conducted across chapters in US, we receive feedback from parents on how they felt. Your feedback is very important for our volunteers.

The following are the various messages we received from parents regarding this year's contests. We thank them for their feedback:

I am greatly impressed by the way NSF team coordinated and organised its Detroit chapter contests. They were very polite, courteous and also kept us informing about the updates, about contests and change of the contesting room, if any etc. Mr. Gudeti and his team were terrfic. Three Cheers for them and as well as the Whole NSF team in responding so sincerely and promptly to any queries that we might have. I hope and wish NSF continues it journey into the future expanding its wings more, by opening more chapters throughtout USA. Good Job and Great Team, NSF! - Sabitha Sridhar (Detroit, MI Chapter)

What a wonderful success today's event was. All of us from Terre Haute really appreciated your hard work. We really had each and every penny worth of our drive today. Kids also liked the contest very well. This year we will announce this in India Association functions here so that way NSF will receive more attention from this part of the state and may be we can expect more participants also.

I have a request for you. Is it possible to get the math and geography bee papers, as we have no clue regardings how these papers were. Kids are unable to recall the questions from both the subjects. It will be really great if we have access for these papers so that way we can better prepare our kids for next year.

Thanks once again for all your time and effort - Uma and H.N. Nagaraja

My 2 sons age 9 and 12 participated in the Math and Vocab bees held at Harper College yesterday.

I have been coming to North-South Foundation contests for 3 years and would like to thank your foundation for making such a difference to my life. The educational contests are amazing and the enthusiasm and dedication of the organizers is a great source of inspiration. It always amazes me how all the volunteers work so hard - with a smile on their face - and an encouraging word for every child. This year - several of my friends children participated in the contests for the first time. They came away with an elation, of a weekend well-spent and a positive experience for their children- who were hesitant participants. They were upset that they had not listened to me the last 3 years!!!

Of course - with such a big endeavour- done solely on a volunteer basis- there were time delays. However, every year makes a difference- and I would like to congratulate Sanjiv Modi and his team for the best year of competition. The speaker Dr Nulla was inspirational and Dr Revuluri is always entertaining- making math fun and he is a wealth of information - Pooja Chatterji (Barrington, IL Chapter)

The event was very well organized, though there might have been some minor hiccups, and my daughter has enjoyed a lot in participating in the event. Please convey my best wishes to the entire team - yourself, volunteers, and test coordinators. Handling 100 children and completing all the tasks of the event in a single day is a difficult task, and your team has excelled in executing them today. My daughter (Anjali Vadhri) has more than charged up know for the next year, and she is willing to participate in more competitions (not just JSB)- Srinivas Vadhri (Palo Alto, CA Chapter)

This week-end, we participated in educational contest held by Philadelphia Chapter of North South Foundation. We were very glad that our children participated in contest. In this regard, I wanted to thank you and your organization for running these contest for the benefit of our community in USA. It is a great public service your organization is doing.

Also, I wanted to let you know that contest held in Philadelphia chapter was a very planned and a very exciting event. The credit for this successful event goes to Ms. Saroj Sargam, Mr. Srinivas and Ms. Ragini and their counterparts in Phialdelphia Chapter. They really did a lot of hardwork to make kids comfortable and make this event a success - Prasad Parab and Dr. Susmita Parab (Philadelphia, PA Chapter)
