Volunteer Openings
The following are Current Volunteer Requirements in the US. Please
contact any of the contact persons listed below if you would like to
volunteer. The Foundation relies solely on volunteers in performing its
activities. Volunteers need to spend only a few hours a week when
activities are in progress in their chapter. Check if any of the
following opportunities match your interests. Talk to a contact person,
if you think you can contribute.

We are looking for DAS coordinators to help us increase awareness of the program. A DAS coordinator for the chapter will be responsible for the following
(1) Publicize DAS at events like spelling bee, walkathon and other celebrations where NSF sets up information tables. You can use display boards, pledge sheets and other gimmicks to make it attractive
(2) Motivate kids to do DAS. Certainly have your child do DAS so that you can offer a first hand experience to other parents
(3) You don’t have to do it alone. Involve your friends. Form a core group of volunteers in your state to help you. This group can then try to follow up on x number of kids each

North South Foundation is looking for a core group of volunteers to drive our match funding program. We find that many willing donors can actually double their contribution by simply filing a matching gift form with their employers. Most of the work can be done from your own home via e-mail and phone. You will have the satisfaction of helping bright children among the poor go to college in India. You will get a chance to meet and work with other like-minded people.
Type of work:
(i) provide guidance to donors in seeking matching gifts from their employers.
(ii) follow up by email and sometimes by phone with donors.
(iii) provide any supplemental information the employers might require.
(iv) updating database
Time:
As much as you can spare - typically 3 hours per week |

We need Graphic designers who can provide graphical images for the website as and when needed. Based on creativity of the designers, we will be able to enhance website in future. May need to spent less than 5 hours per month. |
