A big kudos to all students and families who participated in the Panacea Challenge 2021!! We are so excited about this initiative and the tremendous participation from all of you. This entire challenge stemmed from an idea Dr. Balu Natarajan & Dr. Kavya Shivashankar had to engage the kids stuck at home due to Covid in mid-March 2020.

The theme for Panacea 2021 is Community Improvement & DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion). DEI has been increasingly emphasized in every field – education, healthcare, Business, social work. By Participating in the challenge, we hope that kids have a better understanding of why DEI initiatives are important.

It is essential for us to empower leaders from all backgrounds and design environments and communities that promote diversity and provide individuals with resources they need to succeed.

All the essays and videos submitted were EXTRAORDINARY. The judges had their work cut out for them as everyone’s work was an incredible display of enthusiasm, knowledge, and innovation. The determination, passion, and teamwork imbued in each submission is what truly captures the spirit of this challenge and is exactly what we hoped to inspire within our students and their families. We had entries from kids as young as kindergarten!

We hope you all had a fun and enjoyable experience participating in this challenge - don’t forget to keep applying curiosity and creativity in all your pursuits and congratulations to all the Champions!!
