Each class will use a problem-based coaching strategy to review essential concepts in Algebra, Combinatorics. Geometry, and Number Theory.
The problems will be chosen to reflect the level of testing commonly used in AMC 10 and AIME competitions for the respective clubs
The American Mathematics Competition (AMC) 10 is a 25-question, 75-minute, multiple-choice examination in high school mathematics designed to promote the development and enhancement of problem-solving skills. The AMC 10 covers the high school curriculum up to 10th grade. Students in grade 10 or below and under 17.5 years of age on the day of the contest can take the AMC 10. The American Invitational Mathematics Examination (AIME) is a challenging competition offered for those who excelled on the AMC 10 and/or AMC 12. The AIME is a 15 question, 3-hour Exam. For the last school year, AIME was given in February 2022. Dates for this academic year’s AIME competition are not announced yet. Students can take diagnostic tests to determine if they should register for AMC10 or AIME classes.
